Growing inthe age of AI.

The brain that stops being challenged stops changing. In the age of AI, growth becomes a choice, and the tool you reach for decides which way it goes.

Growth is neurological

Neuroscience is unambiguous: the brain forms new connections throughout life, through focused, effortful practice, most vigorously before twenty-five, but never stopping. Plasticity is use-dependent. What we practice, we become; what we stop practicing, the brain quietly prunes away.

Which is exactly why AI cuts both ways

A 2025 paper in npj Artificial Intelligence (the "3R principle") and 2026 commentary on the "plasticity paradox" warn that passive, uncritical reliance on AI can weaken the very activity-dependent plasticity that keeps us sharp. Spared the effort, the brain adapts in the wrong direction. Researchers have begun naming the failure mode "metacognitive laziness" (2026).

At any age
The brain can form new connections at any age through focused effort. Plasticity is lifelong, but it is earned through challenge, not convenience.

The opportunity is just as real

Aimed differently, the same tools are the most patient tutors ever built, lowering the cost of practice, personalizing challenge, and putting effortful, self-paced learning within reach of anyone (2026 education research). The whole question is whether the tool does the work for you, or with you.

Ease is comfortable. Growth is earned. Good tools keep the effort where it belongs, with you.

Our stance

We build for effort, not for ease: technology that puts the right challenge in your path and helps you form new pathways, so you keep becoming who you want to be. Growth is the whole point.
